E-learning and Course Development for Instructional Design
The 8-week, self-paced, online E-learning and Course Development for Instructional Design course consists of 40 contact hours of instruction.
Participants acquire the following key competencies during this 8-week course:
• Applying the ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate) instructional design model to scope and plan an e-learning project.
• Designing an instructional systems prototype in alignment with multimedia design principles.
• Managing the production timeline and scope of an e-learning prototype.
• Providing collegial feedback on an e-learning prototype, including recommendations for improvements.
• Generating feedback to inform improvements to the design of an e-learning module.
To earn the E-learning and Course Development for Instructional Design digital badge, each participant must:
• Complete three design activities that demonstrate the application of instructional design best practices.
• Complete each program module with a passing grade and earn a “C” or above as the course grade.
This course is one of three courses that comprise the Instructional Design Certificate.
