Curriculum Development for Instructional Design

The 8-week, self-paced, online Curriculum Development for Instructional Design course consists of 40 contact hours of instruction. Participants acquire the following key competencies during this 8-week course: • Planning analysis of learners' needs to inform the design of an e-learning module. • Creating measurable and clear learning objectives. • Designing an e-learning module with aligned learning objectives, activities, and assessments. • Applying diversity, equity and inclusion principles in the design of e-learning. • Planning the evaluation of an e-learning module. To earn the Curriculum Development for Instructional Design digital badge, each participant must: • Complete three design activities that demonstrate the effective application of instructional design best practices. • Complete each program module with a passing grade and earn a “C” or above as the course grade. This course is one of three courses that compose the Instructional Design Certificate.
