Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Practitioners and Managers

The 7-week Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Practitioners and Managers program consists of a self-paced course with seven optional live-online, instructor-led sessions (2 hours each). Participants acquire a general awareness of cybersecurity to familiarize themselves with basic tools and terminology. This certificate program provides participants with the foundational skills and vocabulary for entry into the cybersecurity field. Each program module must be completed with a passing grade and earn a “C” or above as a course grade. Participants who complete the Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Practitioners and Managers program acquire the following skills and knowledge: • Cybersecurity terms and definitions • Networking fundamentals • Attacks, vulnerabilities and threats • Security assessments, mitigation, and penetration testing • Cybersecurity framework • Risk assessments This badge was issued to participants upon successful completion of the program during the Spring 2023-Spring 2024 semesters.
