The five-week introductory Microsoft® Excel Essentials course consists of 15 contact hours of hands-on instruction by a certified Microsoft® Excel Expert.
Participants acquire the following key competencies during this five-week program:
• Navigating the ribbon.
• Entering, sorting and organizing data in workbooks and worksheets.
• Importing and organizing data.
• Removing duplicate records.
• Utilizing formulas and functions for datasets.
• Creating/inserting a variety of charts, including text boxes, shapes, images and hyperlinks.
• Applying conditional operations using IF statements.
• Securing workbooks and worksheets with password encryption.
To complete the Excel Essentials course, each participant must:
• Work on dataset exercises.
• Complete short quizzes throughout the course.
• Demonstrate proficiency in course concepts.
• Complete the required coursework at a satisfactory level to earn a passing grade.
This badge was issued to participants upon successful completion of the program during the Spring 2023-Spring 2024 semesters.
