Advanced Cybersecurity Defense Certificate

The 14-week Advanced Cybersecurity Defense Certificate program consists of a self-paced course with optional live-online, instructor-led sessions (2 hours each). Participants acquire cybersecurity literacy and gain the important practical hands-on skills needed, with proven techniques for assessing risk and safeguarding data. Participants will apply knowledge of cybersecurity concepts to complete advanced technical challenges utilizing tools employed in the field today. Each program module must be completed with a passing grade and earn a “C” or above as a course grade. Participants who complete the Advanced Cybersecurity Defense Certificate program acquire the following skills and knowledge: o Command line interfaces o Packet sniffing o Penetration testing o Network firewalls o Intrusion detection o Vulnerability scanning o SQL Injection o Cryptography o Digital forensics o System hardening o Reverse engineering This badge was issued to participants upon successful completion of the program during the Spring 2023-Spring 2024 semesters.
