PocketMBA - Incyte Corporation 2024

PocketMBA is a fully customized noncredit executive education program designed in collaboration with Incyte Corporation, UD's Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, as well as UD's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies. This intensive program consists of 37 learning hours, through a combination of asynchronous and live instruction on 11 classic business school topics, as well as multiple assignments and a culminating group project anchored by a Harvard Business Review® case presentation. The program is designed for current and aspiring managers and leaders at Incyte who are nominated by their supervisors to participate in this program designed to further develop and enhance their business acumen. The curriculum features traditional core MBA program topics that have been distilled and customized for leaders at Incyte. Participants acquire the following competencies during this 9-month program: • Gain exposure to core MBA topics applicable to roles at Incyte; • Identify and address current issues facing the pharmaceutical industry; • Participate in the program’s Incyte Case Presentation and apply learning to a real business case; • Improve critical thinking skills, self-awareness as business leaders, and knowledge of Incyte as a leading pharmaceutical company. PocketMBA modules: 1. Managing People 2. Strategic Decision Making 3. Data for Decision Making 4. Entrepreneurial Thinking 5. Management Accounting 6. Finance 7. Foundations of Digital Marketing 8. Conflict Resolution 9. Business Ethics 10. Policy and Finance in Healthcare Delivery 11. Leadership and Innovation in Population Health To earn the Incyte/Pocket MBA Certificate, each participant: • Participated in asynchronous learning (1 hour) for every module • Participated in synchronous discussion with program faculty (30 minutes) for each module • Participated in synchronous seminars with program faculty (1.5 hours) for each module • Participated in synchronous meetings with faculty director (3 hours) • Completed the assignments for all 11 modules • Completed the final team project and participated in Harvard Business Review® case study presentation in front of the Incyte Executive Leadership Team
